Amygdalas

(Greek: amygdala = almonds)
The two almond-shaped amygdalas are important regions of the brain. Here the sensations from all parts of the cerebrum converge — pictures, sounds and smells, temperature signals, sensations etc. and are linked to feelings. Here value-free information is transformed into fear, anger, joy or happiness.
