RNA-Polymerase

(Greek:poly = much, meros = part)

RNA polymerase is a tool of the cell that copies the blueprints for the cell’s components. These blueprints are located on the “thread of life” DNA. The RNA polymerase scans the appropriate section of the DNA thread and produces an exact copy of the genetic text. Most of these copies are sent to the protein factories in the cell, as they contain the blueprint for a protein.
