Genome Research – What’s That?

Without genes, nothing would function in the human body. All body processes, for instance sleeping or thinking, the pumping of blood through our arteries, the growing and aging of the body, etc. are steered through our genes. And the blueprints for all parts of our body are stored in our genes – in encrypted form!

Genome researchers read these blueprints in order to understand how our body functions. And they seek possibilities to cure diseases that are due to errors in these blueprints.
