Mutual Benefit: the NGFN as Partner for Enterprise and Science

The productive forms of collaboration that were developed in the NGFN and the scientific impulses that emanate from the network form the basis for more than 1000 cooperation agreements with internationally-known universities and research institutions. The NGFN has partner institutes in almost all countries of the European Union, but also in the USA, Mexico, Israel, Cameroon, Togo, Bahrain, and many other countries.

Another advantage of the National Genome Research Network is the close interweaving of research and industry. The close collaboration between scientists from the genome research network and the economic sector is what enables the development of therapies and the production of drugs in a sufficient quantity and with a reliable quality. At an early stage the research groups participating in the NGFN sought to sign cooperation agreements with appropriate firms.
